June's visit on what was a hot and very sunny day, with heat haze being a big problem for the most part.

I'm pleased to report that movement was noted - at last - amongst the long-stored, deferred, Kingfisher Airlines A340-500s.  Only one example in full colours was seen (either MSN0886 F-WWTG or 0902 F-WWTJ), and this had been moved from its previous midfield storage position to the very rear of the St. Martin du Touch apron.  The other fully-painted example was not seen so I hope that this was hangared undergoing re-work.  Another, assumed to be MSN0894 F-WWTH in all white colours with red engines, had also been moved from midfield, this time to the wash-station at the H. ZIEGLER DC, and was looking very shiny after a wash and brush-up.  This was subsequently re-positioned to the Airbus development flight-line, so again hopefully signs of another airframe coming out of storage. 

Movement also amongst the forthcoming Iberia A340-600s.  Out of sequence MSN1017 F-WWCS/EC-KZI was seen again, this time on the ZIEGLER DC.  Another, MSN0960 F-WWCG was still at the flight line, but there was no sign of the previously stored "F-WWKC" (MSN0993) which must have been inside and has also hopefully re-joined the production cycle.

Evidence of out-of-sequence production amongst the forthcoming A330-300Es for Swiss International Air Lines, with MSN1029 F-WWKE, expected to become HB-JHD? wearing full colours and sister-ship MSN1026 F-WWYY, expected to become HB-JHC? still in full primer colours.  As 1029 was seen performing engine runs I wonder if this will be delivered ahead of 1026? 

The 2 potential KC-45As (MSNs 0925 F-WWKB and 996 F-WWKT) remain in open storage, engineless, with -200MRTT MSN0980 again not seen. The first example for the AirTanker consortium for the RAF was still present on the production flight line.

A330-200s MSN1031 (no registration carried) has now been joined by MSN1034 F-WWKS, with both parked in deep storage configuration with undercarriage bagged against the elements.

A couple of A320s, MSNs3748 and MSN3882 are also still stored at St. Martin du Touch.

Over at the A380 site, MSN0050 F-WWAE, the future VH-OQH for Qantas has rolled out prior to its first flight, and subsequent ferry to Hamburg for cabin outfitting and painting.

Being on foot and with no spaces being available on that day's tours, this log contains more unconfirmed sightings than usual.  However, my regular good sources make me confident that my assumptions are (in the main) correct.  That said, any corrections are very welcome at the usual address.

May's second visit, to what is sadly showing increasing signs of becoming a storage facility.

The 4 remaining deferred Kingfisher Airlines A340-500s (MSNs 0886, 0894, 0902 & 0912) were still parked in the open, their fates uncertain although one for HiFly/Arik Air has subsequently been delivered.

One of the two stored A340-600s for Iberia (MSN0960) has rejoined production, being seen complete with engines on the flight line.  The other (MSN0993), however, remains in deep-storage on the A380 apron.

The 2 potential KC-45As (MSNs 0925, and 996) remain in open storage, engineless.  On the plus side, -200MRTT MSN0980 was not seen, so is hopefully back in production, and the first example for the AirTanker consortium for the RAF was seen - with engines - on the production flightline.

There are now signs of deferrals for airline-destined 330s with the recently assembled MSN1031 parked outside wearing a coat of tell-tale yellow storage primer.  Another, fresh off the FAL, MSN1034 was noted being painted in the open-air with the same protective coating.  This was originally allocated to AirComet, as was MSN1042 which was seen on the FAL and is presumably destined for the same treatment on rollout.

A single A320, MSN3882 was noted also painted for storage?  Iberia ntu?  On the positive, one of the two long-stored 320s for Kingfisher, MSN3621, was noted at the delivery centre still wearing basic Kingfisher colours so is hopefully about to start earning its living.

Happily, there were no signs of storage over at the 380 plant, with a record 5 aircraft seen on the production flight line.  2 examples each for Air France (MSN0040 & 0043) and Emirates (MSN0007 & 0028) plus one for Qantas (MSN0047).  Another, MSN0021, the 7th for Singapore Airlines was also seen over at the ZIEGLER DC awaiting its delivery flight. 

Being on foot and taking an A380 tour with Concorde No.1 option to provide access to the plant, recording of the various movements is not as complete as usual.  Apologies for this.

002  380-841  F-WXXL  Airbus.  Not seen.  Hangared undergoing re-work to production standard as a business jet.
004  380-861  F-WWDD  Airbus.  Note revised designation (was built as a Rolls Royce-powered -841).  Parked on Development flight-line (St. Martin du Touch), now in full Airbus house colours.  Has not been seen by me for several months.  Assumed this will be the aircraft exhibited at the Le Bourget show?  First sighting since seen in big re-work hangar on the ADER complex (in Environmental colours) in early January 2009.

LAGARDERE FAL - poste 30C.  Reportedly seen during the morning through closing doors to FAL.  As they were still positioning the various gantries around it when I hit the tour balcony at 15:15L my guess is that it had entered this position earlier that day.  See notes against MSN0047 (below) for corroboration of this theory.

Full Emirates Airline colours vertical tail-fin noted in the open Beluga Unpack shed opposite the terminal.  Seen being towed across the field to the J.L. LAGARDERE plant on transportation jig.  No visible markings, but believed to belong to the future MSN0030.  Was followed in convoy by APU section on separate trolley/jig, again no visible markings as to its identity.
